Privacy Policy
Overview
Folio Home stores your financial data privately on your device and optionally in your iCloud account. The app does not transmit your financial information to any server operated by Achim Braml.
Financial data
All transaction records, budget configurations, salary information, and household member data are stored locally using SwiftData on your device. This data is sensitive and is handled accordingly:
- No financial data is uploaded to any third-party server.
- No financial data is used for advertising or analytics purposes.
- Tax calculation data (rates, brackets) is bundled within the app and is not sent to any server.
iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit private database. This data resides in your personal iCloud account. Achim Braml cannot access your CloudKit data. iCloud sync can be disabled at any time via Settings within the app.
WebDAV / NAS backup (Pro)
Pro users can optionally configure a WebDAV server for backup. Data is encrypted with AES-256 before transmission to your specified server. You are responsible for the security of the WebDAV endpoint you configure. Achim Braml has no access to this backup data.
Advertising
The free tier shows banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage signals subject to your App Tracking Transparency consent. Denying tracking results in non-personalized ads. No financial data is shared with AdMob. Upgrading to Pro removes all advertising.

Face ID / biometrics
If you enable app lock, Folio Home uses Face ID or Touch ID via iOS LocalAuthentication. Biometric data is processed entirely by Apple's secure enclave and is never accessible to the app.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are handled by Apple via StoreKit 2. No payment information passes through systems controlled by Achim Braml.
Data export and deletion
You can export all your data as CSV or PDF from within the app (Settings → Data). You can delete all data at any time (Settings → Data → Delete All Data). Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be cleared via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children's privacy
Folio Home is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
